She dreamed
of dancing.
As a little girl growing up in Aalborg, Denmark, Grete R. Bressner dreamed of becoming a ballerina. Her talent and dedication brought an opportunity to try out for the Royal Danish Ballet.
Her mother worked hard to help make that dream possible. Alongside her efforts, the generosity of others helped Grete attend ballet school. Those acts of kindness became a lasting part of her story.
Today, our beloved mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother continues to inspire us. The Fund is our way of remembering her, and of extending that same helping hand to another child.

Grete’s family established the Grete R. Bressner Scholarship Fund to help children overcome financial barriers and continue pursuing the passions that make them who they are.
Our mission includes dance, music, theater, martial arts, and related enrichment programs. Scholarships provide need-based support for approved program expenses, with awards ordinarily paid directly to the provider on a young person’s behalf.
